(The following submission is from Caitlyn McGlynn who shares a photo of her boys with their Easter Window! Thank you for your story!)
I am so grateful to be home with my two boys each day during this difficult time. As a teacher, I am now working from home, and although it is not easy to balance preparing my lessons as well as teaching and raising my own boys, I thank God that we are together. My husband is an aircraft maintenance engineer and has been deemed an essential worker. I pray each day that he is safe at work and comes back home healthy.
We have been looking for fun ways to keep busy here at home. I stumbled upon a Facebook group called 'North Bay Easter Egg Hunt 2020 (isolation hunt)' where children are challenged to decorate their front windows and then take a walk or drive to look for other homes with Easter decorations. I presented the idea to my boys, and they were eager to participate. I asked them what Easter symbols they wanted to put on the window and they both said 'the cross'. Now we have a beautiful display of our faith on our front window for both our family and our neighbours to enjoy. It reminds me each day to be grateful and to take a moment to thank God for our blessings!
