Offering a Mass for a particular intention is a longstanding tradition in the Catholic Church. An individual may ask a priest to offer a Mass for several reasons: in thanksgiving for a certain prayer or grace received, for the intention of another person (such as on a birthday or anniversary), for someone who is sick or facing difficulties, or for the repose of the soul of someone who has died.
The effects of the Sacrifice of the Mass bring certain benefits and fruits which are applied to the particular intention of the Mass.
The Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie has requested that a suggested donation of $15.00 be offered per Mass Intention. A maximum of three Mass Intentions will be offered per Mass celebrated in our parish communities.
If you wish to request an Intention for a Mass for a specific date, you are welcome to do so!
Please contact the parish office and we will accommodate your request to the best of our ability.
