RED WEDNESDAY - NOVEMBER 20 Red Wednesday is an event aimed at highlighting the persecution and injustice suffered by Christians in the world, while promoting respect and tolerance between people of different religions.
Currently, 327 million Christians live in countries where there is religious persecution.
On Wednesday, November 20we will gather for a special Mass at the Pro-Cathedral at 12:05pm to pray for persecuted Christians. Everyone is welcome to attend, and wear red if possible - a colour associated with martyrdom in the Christian tradition.
This day is marked in solidarity with Catholic parishes in our Diocese and throughout Canada and the world.
