June is the Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

May 29, 2024JUNE IS THE MONTH OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS
Catholics dedicate the month of June to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in veneration and in gratitude for His merciful heart and His redeeming love for mankind.
The purpose of this devotion is to wake us all up as to how much Jesus loves us and is hurt by our daily indifference to Him and to His great sacrifice for us in His Passion.
Day after day he pines for us to be with him, and pour out our hearts to him in love. As John 15:9 says “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you; abide in my love.”
Catholics observe this month through almsgiving, consecration and reparation for sins.
During this Year of Prayer in our Parish - this month of June, we lift up our prayers to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and we pray daily together this month for the protection of our children, youth and families from teachings contrary to those of Jesus.
