Join us in Prayer and Fasting for our Community for "10 Days"

September 13, 202410 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR NORTH BAY & AREA
“10 DAYS” is a Global Movement that aims to bring all Christians together for prayer, fasting and repentance. It is based on the 10 Days between the Ascension of Jesus and the Beginning of the Church at Pentecost with the coming of the Holy Spirit. All Christian Churches in North Bay and area were invited to participate in this movement this year between October 2 and October 12. The goal of the prayer, fasting and repentance is to pray for Christian Unity; to pray for the blessing of God on our cities/communities; and to offer repentance for our unfaithfulness.
Our Parish will offer two times of communal prayer during these 10 Days:
1) Life Chain 2024: Sunday, October 6 at 2pm. This event brings Christians together to pray for an end to the greatest evils in our cities and communities - ending the lives of the most vulnerable. Meet and Park at Holy Name of Jesus Church at 1:30pm; Life Chain to take place between 2pm and 3pm; and Social afterward at Holy Name of Jesus Parish Hall after 3pm.
2) Prayer, Praise, Adoration & Worship Evening: Wednesday, October 9 at 7pm at Holy Name of Jesus Church. During this evening, we will offer praise to God for the fulfilment of his promises on Earth; prayers for our communities and protection from evils; repentance and sorrow for our sins; and Adoration of the Holy Eucharist.
