Death of Fr. Charles Mathieu

October 23, 2019Fr. Mathieu served as Pastor of St. Alphonsus Liguori, Callander from 1986 - 1987.
We are saddened to announce that Fr. Charles Mathieu died on October 21st, 2019 at the age of 82. He was born on May 3, 1937 and was ordained on May 13, 1966.
Before his retirement in 2011, Fr. Charles ministered in North Bay, Sturgeon Falls, Sault Ste. Marie and Blind River as well as in a few parishes of Greater Sudbury.
Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Garson (255 Church St.) on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A vigil prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Parish, Garson.
